Really early Metallica
Wild ass guess here, but could it be “Orion” off of Master of Puppets?   That’s their third album so I don’t know if it qualifies as “extreme early days”.  Good stuff, though. giantrobotlasers: I once heard an amazing instrumental from Metallica from their extreme early days.
